How To Save Money When Planning A Wedding

In today's blog I have linked to an old artice from The Weddingjournalonline.

As anyone who has ever planned a wedding will tell you, it is an expensive business. Whether you are going for something small and intimate or something lavish and extravagent it will hit your pocket in a fairly severe way.

What I like about this article is that the tips contained within are practical and within reason.

There are some things that you simply should not skimp on, a good photographer is worth their weight in gold, the right make up artist will make you feel incredible and the right Celebrant (ahem!!) will make your day unforgettable. That said if you are handy with a pritstic and a pair of scissors why not give homemade invites a go? Or if you feel you can unleah your inner Mary Berry there is lots of cash to be saved if you bake your own cake.

Lots of money saving ideas contained within:

The Great Outdoors

I know it doesn't feel like it right now but soon spring will arrive, the days will get longer and brighter...and hopefully drier and warmer.

Would you be brave enough to consider an outdoor wedding? We all know that when the sun shines there is no greater place to be than Ireland. With our countless beaches, mountains, forests, lakeshores, meadows, even bogs couples really are only limited by their imaginations.

Of course the weather is always going to be a worry but if you are willing to risk it and the sun does shine I guarantee it will be an unforgettable experience for you and your guests.

So as summer approaches and our thoughts turn to this year's Wedding Season lots of venues do have the option of an outdoor ceremony. Maybe it is something to think about and as the saying goes...It would be a great little country if we put a roof on it.

Happy Wedding Planning.

New Year's Eve Weddings

Weddings on New Year's Eve are great fun. Not only does the anticipation of the arrival of a new year add to the excitement of the day but as midnight approaches it's also another opportunity to have some presecco - and what's not to like about that!

My great friend Roise got married on NYEa couple of years ago and it was a real treat getting to ring in the new year with old friends who I had not seen for a while.

If you are getting married tomorrow I hope you have a wonderful day. If you are getting married later in the year and need a celebrant you know where to find me.

Happy New Year to you and yours. I hope 2017 is filled with love, laughter and happiness.
